No more counting dollars… we’ll be counting stars.

No more counting dollars… we’ll be counting stars.

After months of lose planning here and there (more lose for Mel, more planning for Phil), a first departure is almost at our doorstep: From 14 April 2014 onwards, we will be living and working out of Phuket, Thailand. Our vision is to live and work abroad, spend chunks of quality time in wonderous places, and walk a lot.

To that end, we have reduced our worldly belongings again, found a way to make both our professional lives work outside of Switzerland, and are planning on creatively working on the rest as the days pass.

Thailand, and Phuket in particular, ended up making the cut, because it offers a good infrastructure, is easy to travel to and from, and has high-speed internet. Perfect for our first three months while testing this “working while traveling”-concept. Beyond that, we find the Thai people to be friendly and open, we both love Thai food, and we suspect we might be able to get daily massages without being broke after the first week. We might also be able to learn how to sail… we’ll see.
