Ich bin zwar überhaupt kein Fan von Scorsese-Filmen, aber diesen fand ich super. Tolle schauspielerische Leistungen, perfekt dazupassende Musik, interessante Geschichte. Die Spannung blieb bis zur letzten Minute erhalten... und das Rätsel darüber hinaus!

Schon lange keinen Film von Disney gesehen. Dieser war ganz süss, die Lieder nett, das es in New Orleans spielt super (ich wurde sehr, sehr hungrig während ich diesen Film schaute), ABER der gute Humor (à là Aladdin) fehlte einfach.

Unglaublich gute schauspielerische Leistungen von Newcomerin Gabourey Sidibe, Mo'nique, und -ganz überraschend- Mariah Carey. Das grosse Thema des Films (Inzest) wird nicht mit Samthandschuhen behandelt, der Film beeindruckt durch seine Ehrlichkeit und Direktheit.

Die Verfilmung eines meiner Lieblingsbücher, und Filme können bekanntlich nie Ihren literarischen Vorlagen gerecht werden. Nichts desto trotz fand ich den Film rührend, stellenweise etwas gar kitschig... und leider denke ich jedes Mal an einen israelischen Hulk der Rache übt wenn ich Eric Bana sehe, aber sonst alles gut.

Easy entertainment: I just really like Meryl Streep, and enjoyed a few laughs. For some reason I find that Steve Martin always looks like he has far too much makeup on, but all in all this movie inspired me to learn how to make chocolate croissants, so that is something.

Quite liked the first half of this movie, during which I thought that director Richard Kelly (who incidentally wrote Donnie Darko) built up tension in a very twilight zone way without all that many special effects. The overall concept of the movie (I don't want to give away anything) was interesting as well, but from the second half onwards it kind of went downhill for me.

Reasonably cute movie about a girl who doesn't believe in love and decides to make a documentary about that, going cross-country interviewing people. At the same time, she starts to fall in love herself, and documents the process as well. The filmmakers try to give it a real world touch as if they were filming spontaneously, but the good lighting and made up actors reveal that it is a movie. \ The stories she is told are partly re-enacted with cardboard in a quirky fashion that I liked, but all in all the movie disappointed me, as I found it to be a bit overly predictable and slightly staged and boring. Michael Cera lovers might like this a bit more than I did, as they get to enjoy a full movie of him playing himself.

Merryl Streep as Julia Child is wonderful, and the portrayal of the relationship with her husband (Stanley Tucci) one of the highlights of the movie, along with the some of the locations used (eg train stations, post-war Paris). Going between Child's life and the Julie Powell's experiment trying to recreate her cookbook worked well. All in all an entertaining, fun movie that motivates to head straight to the kitchen... and teaches you, that Aspic is nothing worth knowing how to do ;)

Reminded me more of a video game than a movie... not at all something I would recommend. LIKES: -Denzel. I will always like him as an actor, even when he is in a bad movie. -the rather cool camera angles at time, and the city views DISLIKES: -there is a 2-second shot of Travolta's watch, a Breitling. Product placement at its worst. -story makes no sense whatsoever -Travolta kind of looked the bad-guy part, but his swearing was miserable (one too many times "motherfucker" said) -no cool twist at the end

Worst movie of the year... so far anyhow. I went to see Christian Bale's performance (liked him in Batman), and was completely disappointed. Story was not at all thought through, key characters never introduced, main theme was never played, dialogue was totally boring. This was simply a series of stunts and action scenes... total waste of money. I fell asleep at least three times.

Far better than the first one, a simple, easy-to-follow thriller. Hans Zimmer yet again outdid himself and created a great score (Joshua Bell participated in this project). Apparently they were unable to find any decent, Swiss-german-speaking actors, but I guess only about 7 million potential viewers will get that one.

Sollte eher "the crappening" heissen... einfach furchtbar. Obschon ich Wahlberg in früheren Filmen (vor allem "Italian Job") sehr mochte, fand ich ihn eine richtige schauspielerische Katastrophe, dito für das ganze restliche Cast. Man sollte den writers dieses Films verbieten weiterzuarbeiten. Sehr enttäuscht aber nicht ganz überrascht, da M. Night Shyamalan seit "Unbreakable" nichts wirklich Anständiges hervorbrachte.

Obschon sich Will Smith auch bei diesem Film merklich anstrengt und überzeugt, schafft er es nicht den Film für die Dauer des Films gänzlich über Wasser zu halten. Schuld ist vor allem das etwas banale Script und die Story, welche nicht ganz vollständig durchdacht wurde. Coole Musik, cooler Smith, ein gutes Konzept (der vollkommen andere Superheld), aber einfach nicht überzeugend als Ganzes.

Einer meiner Lieblingsfilme, die Thematik der Todesstrafe auf seriöse, realistische Art aufnehmend. Fantastische schauspielerische Leistungen (ein noch sehr, sehr junger Jack Black in einer Nebenrolle...), unglaublich ergreifende Bilder, berührend. Ein must-see.

Zwar kein schlechter Film (schauspielerische Leistungen können sich sehen lassen, anständiges Script, etc), aber irgendwie einfach ein sinnloses Werk. Die Message ("Die muslimische und die christliche Welt werden einander immer hassen und dementsprechend bekämpfen") sehen wir schon im Alltag, der Film hätte statt einfach dies wiederzugeben noch etwas dazugeben können.

Auf diesen Film freuten wir uns beide sehr, weshalb wir uns frühzeitig für die Vorpremiere Sitze sicherten. Was für eine Enttäuschung! Ein langweiliger, schlecht überlegter Streifen, die das Indy-Erbe keineswegs honoriert, sondern es fast schon durch den Dreck zieht. Den ganzen Film hindurch bekam ich das Gefühl nicht los, dass Spielberg und Lucas sich nicht die geringste Mühe gegeben hatten, ein gutes Werk zu produzieren, sondern sich mit einem zusammengeschnittenen, dummen Film zufriedengaben, weil sie wussten, dass sowieso jeder den Film schauen würde.

Based on a true story. 6 MIT Studenten und ihr Prof. (Kevin Spacey) machen sich auf nach Las Vegas um beim Black Jack Karten zu zählen. Ich hoffe wir werden Jim Sturgess (Ben) noch in vielen Filmen sehen, geiler Schauspieler. Der Film ist unterhaltend aber wer einen Gambler/Vegas Film sehen möchte, sollte sich besser Rounders reinziehen.

Wunderschöne Musik, schöne Story, einfach genial! Man merkt das Glen Hansard (The Frames) ein vollblut Musiker ist. Zusammen mit Across The Universe einer der besten Musikfilme der letzten Zeit.

Sehr gute Verfilmung der zweiwöchigen Kubakrise 1962, machmal ein bisschen langatmig. Anspannung der Zeit wird gut wiedergegeben.

Kein guter Film was Story oder Dialoge angeht, aber unsere Erwartungen allemal erfüllt hat die neueste Verfilmung eines Stan Lee Comics. Robert Downey Jr. überzeugt in seiner Rolle als konvertierter "good guy" und die Action und special effects waren absolut top.

Etliche Male gelacht haben wir während diesem Film, einem der besten Beispiele von Steve Carell's ausserordentlichem Talent. Absolut überzeugt er als Spätzünder, während ein gelungenes Cast von eher unbekannten Schauspielern den Rahmen setzt. Dazu hervorragende Dialoge, und eine ziemlich gut durchdachte Geschichte... für einmal eine empfehlenswerte Komödie!
